Bob Edmonson has experienced life in other U.S. Metros, but his life has been centered here in the Big ‘D’ for over four decades.

Though he enjoys the cultural perks that come with living in a world class city, Bob finds deep satisfaction in participating in his community, volunteering on boards and working with the City of Dallas.

He was formerly chairman of the State Thomas TIF board, a city government board dedicated to turning a once-blighted section of the City into an economically vibrant residential and retail neighborhood. Bob served on the board of the SMU Mustang Club, the university’s athletic booster organization, and is a past board member of the Dallas Committee for International Visitors. And, Bob has served his industry as well, as a board member of the Realtor association’s MLS Committee, the rules-making body for Dallas area Realtors.

As one of the area’s leading real estate professionals, Bob takes pride in being named a D Magazine Best Realtor, the 14th year he earned that recognition, an award given to those Realtors who excel in the public’s eye, voted on by the community. His expertise is also recognized by the Federal Reserve Board of Dallas, which has invited Bob to contribute regularly to the Beige Book, the Federal Reserve’s periodic report on the economy.

Bob’s desire to give back to the community is shared by his wife Knoxie as well. Knoxie is a member of the Crystal Charity Ball, an organization which raises millions of dollars every year for children’s charities. She is past president of the Women’s Auxiliary of Children’s Medical Center and a past member of the Junior League of Dallas. Together, Bob and Knoxie chaired the first annual Dallas Wind Symphony’s Sweetheart Swing in 2007.
