The Victory development next to the American Airlines Center will transform the west side of downtown, with a new W Hotel and Condos and several additional condo, restaurant and entertainment venues on the way. Many new apartment and condo projects have been announced and are underway, including One Arts Plaza in the Performing Arts Center, as well as office building conversions along Main St, Elm St, Commerce St and Jackson St. New restaurants and a new grocery store have opened; a new Calatrava Bridge will break ground in the winter of 2005, beautifying the pathway from the west side across the Trinity River. More and more, Dallas' Downtown is becoming the destination for exciting urban living.
